Nederland, Colorado, and its surrounding towns were shaped by mining, railroads, and tourism. Silver was found in Caribou, gold in Eldora, and tungsten in the Nederland area. The narrow-gauge "Switzerland Trail of America" wound its way north to Ward and south to Eldora, while the standard-gauge "Moffat Road" crossed the Continental Divide west of Rollinsville at the "top of the world."

I also sell copies of Harrison S. Cobb's PROSPECTING OUR PAST: GOLD, SILVER, AND TUNGSTEN MILLS OF BOULDER COUNTY.
