Sheriff Arthur T. Everson estimated today he has received 200 inquiries from about 15 states suggesting that the unidentified blonde whose nude and battered body was found beside Boulder creek might be this or that missing girl.

"With the exception of reports received last night and today, we have checked out every one where the description was anywhere near right and where we have been given enough information to permit a check," Everson said.

The big majority of the inquiries described girls who could not possibly have been the victim of the local murder. In perhaps not more than five cases has there been a matching description together with sufficient facts to permit an investigation, and in those few cases the missing persons have been located. Checking is still under way in some cases.

Sheriff Everson said there were no new leads today, either to identification of the girl or to suspects in the slaying.

Undersheriff D. M. Teegarden and Deputy Wray Andrews checked a report that a light has been burning for a week in a cabin near Gold Hill. There had been no break-in, however. The owners of the cabin live in the East and their son, believed to be a C. U. student, has been using the cabin at intervals.
